Heard enough bad news lately? Well we have just the ticket for you. Project K Hawkes Bay's Kup Day fundraiser - is coming up again on Melbourne Cup Day - November 3 this year. So book that date into your diary.

Last year's Kup day event was a real success, so grab some work mates or friends and head along for a flutter. You can feel good about it, because you'll be benefitting our local kids too. We'll let you know more details in October. Info on Project K can be found at  www.projectkhb.co.nz

Don't forget it's Fathers Day this Sunday. How about an outing with the kids. Somewhere like Hep Set Mooch or Shed 2 in Ahururi www.shed2.co.nz. Or - now here's a thought - you could treat Dad to a real break, book in a babysitter from Rock My Baby www.rockmybaby.co.nz and take him out on a hot date!


The Power of Direct Mail

We want to tell you about a couple of the new business approaches 99's had recently.

First we took a call from Potential Client 1. They were responding to a letter 99 had sent over a year ago! Yes thats right, in June 2008 we sent a a DM letter introducing ourselves and our services to a number of businesses we'd seen at a national trade event.  We had a good response to these letters at the time - for minimal effort and cost. Potential Client 1 had kept our letter on file. After trying a few other marketing options, they've come to us at last! We've helped them convert their existing customer information into a target list. Now they have a useful tool to base their sales and marketing programme on - they are away.

Just a few days later, we received a call from Potential Client 2, in response to a similar letter we had written this year. Potential Client 2 had not waited a second, and contacted us the day they received the letter. We have been able to help them plan out their strategy for increasing sales straight away. 

So whether your clients or customers are slow burners or quick fire, it doesn't matter. We say keep communicating with them. If you leave them out in the cold - you just might find that your competitors start keeping them warm!
